Site statistics

Published article count was up to 30 in July from 20 in June. Published comments were up to 1670 in July from 944 in June. Unique visitors to the site were 14% down to 23,100 in July from 26,866 in June, while total visits increased 2%, to 45,585 in July from 44,765 in June.

We didn’t publish 37 abusive, content-free or incomprehensible comments, and 4 under the 5-post rule - later relaxed by Margo to max 10 posts per day. Margo banned Phil Kendall from the site for a week for persistent abuse. Total comments intended for publication and not published: 41/1711=2.4%.

Finances

Income in July was $145 in donations versus expenditure of $13. Cash in the bank at end July was $1212. The current liability to James Cook Uni of $200 for a year's hosting was removed by JCU donating the hosting (thanks, guys). Income to come from Google for July of approx $32 (USD25.23)
