Speaking of spying, is there anything so mad as US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' claim that: "President Washington, President Lincoln, President Wilson, President Roosevelt have all authorized electronic surveillance on a far broader scale."

Uhh? Presidents Washington and Lincoln authorised electronic surveillance?
