Good Night

Good night for the year from Webdiary. This is the last post for the year. We will be back with New Year bells on the 2nd January.

Webdiary is paying me for one more month - January - at this stage. To continue beyond that in the current form - with a full-time 'staff' - let alone to employ a journalist which we would like - we still require money. So please feel free to donate, or to set up a regular contribution, as many already have.

In that month I will be directly selling advertising, as much as other duties, to try to establish a clearer revenue base. Please consider advertising on Webdiary, or thinking of businesses we may wish to target.

Money matters aside, we require content. Consider becoming a citizen journalist for Webdiary or just give us your take on an area of your own expertise. Send articles to editor@webdiary.com.au, with your full name and phone number, as well as email address. Despite the accusations of some, we do not mind from which side of politics your biases come. David Roffey, Craig Rowley, Polly Bush and myself are the committee which will decide if something will be published.

Finally, so many people have asked about Margo. I spoke to her today and she is in good spirits, though still in need of rest. She is very pleased her vision survives and is showing such life. Thankyou to everyone who have sent her well-wishes.

Comment boxes are not closed but do not expect anything to be published quickly. Merry Christmas and love to everyone.

Good Night and G'Day

Great! I just throw off my mourning weeds, having dicovered that the rumours of Webdiary's demise were greatly exaggerated and you lot don't live up to JH's exhortations to work like there's no horizon and make a beeline for the door marked 'Exit'. Oh well, it's good to hear that there's going to be a next year to bore you all with my tales from the dark side, otherwise known as Federal Parliament during the last two sitting weeks of the year.

Until then, stay sane and get some lead in your pencils in time to kick off the 2006 season.

Merry Xmas and lots of love from the new, improved version... V E Collins, esquirette.

I'm off to buy a new disco dress for when Club Chaos re-opens...
